The decision to cancel the Class XII examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Education has finally been announced in the wake of the Corona outbreak. The decision to cancel the 12th class examination has been sealed in a disaster management meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Therefore, it is likely that the students of class 12 in the state will be evaluated just like class 10th. All eyes are now on how class 12 students will be assessed.

Given the prevalence of covid, it is not advisable to take exams by playing with the lives of students. The cabinet meeting agreed to cancel the exam. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray sought the views of all members present at the meeting. It would not be appropriate to endanger the lives of children, parents, teachers and non-teaching staff by taking exams while the prevalence of corona persists. The minister had expressed the view that there was no alternative but to cancel the Class XII examination on the same criteria. After that, the school education minister of the state had held a press conference and said that the final decision would be taken in the disaster management meeting of the state. Accordingly, in today's meeting, it was finally decided to cancel the 12th standard examination. The decision will be communicated to the High Court soon.
