On September 9, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut arrived in Mumbai amid tight security. On the same day, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation had conducted a demolition drive at her Mumbai office, razing portions that they claimed were illegally built.

In the latest development, Ranaut has demanded Rs 2 crore worth damages suffered due to the 'illegal demolition' of her office from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The actress has amended her petition before the Bombay High court and demaned that the damages should be paid by BMC following the unlawful demolition of a part of her office.

This comes in the backdrop of Ranaut's bitter war of words with Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut after her remarks that she feels unsafe in Mumbai and has no trust in the Mumbai Police after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Ranaut also met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Sunday amid friction between the actor and the Shiv Sena.

Following her meeting, Kangana tweeted: "A short while ago I met His Excellency the Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari Ji. I explained my point of view to him and also requested that justice be given to me, it will restore faith of common citizen and particularly daughters in the system."
