Kapil & Dheeraj Wadhawan have been sent to CBI Custody till 29th April by a special CBI Court in Mumbai. They were arrested by CBI, in connection with Yes Bank fraud case, from Mahabaleshwar after their quarantine period concluded, where they were placed for violating lockdown.

The CBI on Sunday arrested Dewan Housing Finance Limited (DHFL) promoter Kapil Wadhawan and his brother Dheeraj Wadhwan from Mahabaleswar in Maharashtra's Satara district in Yes Bank fraudulent case.

Both were arrested in cooperation with district authorities on the basis of Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) of arrest issued by a special Central Bureau of Investigation session court, Mumbai.The Wadhawan brothers are accused in multi-crore Dewan Housing Finance Limited (DHFL) scam and Yes Bank scam.

23 members of the Wadhawan family were placed under institutional quarantine by the local police after they travelled to their farmhouse in Mahabaleshwar from Khandala amid the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown.
