On March 3, Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare announced that women beneficiaries of Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will be given the honorarium fund for February, Rs. 1500, on the eve of Women's Day. She said all the necessary preparations are being made.

Taking to X, she posted, “Beloved sisters will receive an honorarium on the eve of Women's Day! The women beneficiaries of the Chief Minister's Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will be given the honorarium fund for February on the eve of Women's Day. All the necessary technical preparations for this have been completed, and the honorarium fund will be deposited in the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries on the eve of Women's Day.”

Aditi Tatkare said that only those women who fall under the criteria set by the government for this scheme can avail its benefits. Many applications were rejected by the government as the women did not fit the criteria. However, the government made it clear that no money would be taken back by the government.

As of now, more than 2.40 crore women in Maharashtra are waiting for the eighth installment of this scheme.
