The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme beneficiaries in Maharashtra may soon receive good news, as Rs 4,500 for December 2025, January and February is expected to be deposited into their accounts. According to reports by regional media, eligible women could get three pending instalments together by the end of February or the first week of March 2026.

Around 2.5 crore women in the state have not received a single instalment since December 2025. The Finance Ministry has not yet approved the required funds, but reports suggest the Rs 4,500 combined of the past three months may be deposited into the accounts of women.

The Women and Child Development Ministry, led by Aditi Tatkare, is carrying out e-KYC verification, and officials estimate that the number of eligible beneficiaries could reduce to 1.5 crore once the process is completed. The verification is expected to save the state around Rs 1,635 crore per month, or Rs 19,620 crore annually.
