Of the 740,000 Ladki Bhaini who applied for the Chief Minister's Majhi Ladki Bhain Yojana in the district, verification is ongoing. Due to errors and non-compliance with eligibility criteria (including owning four-wheelers, being employed, paying income tax, or relocating after marriage), approximately 78,478 applications will be cancelled.

Consequently, around 661,522 Ladki Bhainis are expected to receive two installments of rs 3,000 each (for January and February) in their accounts on March 8, coinciding with Women's Day. The government initiated the verification process through the Women and Child Development Department after discovering that ineligible applicants were benefiting from the scheme. Specifically, application cancellations are attributed to duplicate names in bank passbooks (1,166), bulk applications from single profiles (57,192), and ownership of four-wheelers (20,120).

Furthermore, about 75 beneficiaries are voluntarily withdrawing from the scheme to avoid potential penalties, and some applications contained errors identified during verification. The applications flagged by the government have been sent to the taluka level for further scrutiny and cancellation.
