The Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year award ceremony, is being held in Mumbai today. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries from various sectors including ministers from the state government.

Meanwhile, Ashok Chavan, minister in the state government, has made a strong statement on the Sachin Vaze case, including the current political situation in the state. Ashok Chavan, who was present at the award ceremony, has slammed BJP leader and former chief minister Narayan Rane. Asked about Narayan Rane's demand for Uddhav Thackeray's resignation after the Sachin Vaze case, Ashok Chavan said, "Narayan Rane demands resignation of the Chief Minister if anything happens. It has become his habit. He is in a hurry to become the Chief Minister," said Chavan.

On the Sachin Vaze case, Ashok Chavan said that Uddhav Thackeray's role in the case is clear. They will not support anyone. All three parties have the same demand. Also, there is no unrest in the government. If you look at it like that, Sachin Vaze is a very small man. This case should be investigated impartially. Also, action will be taken against those found guilty. However, Ashok Chavan has said that a BJP trial is underway in this case.
