"The governor had given us a time of 4 pm in the evening for the meeting. Still, the governor went to Goa. We protest against the governor who is not serious about the issue of farmers ", said the leaders of the United Kisan Morcha while tearing the memorandum that they were supposed to give governor.

Agitators protesting the new farm laws moving towards the Raj Bhavan (Governor's House) in Mumbai were stopped by the police. Farmers from various districts of the state gather at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, in protest against agriculture laws today.

"We will give memorandum to Governor today. Our families have also come with us because if we lose farming, the entire family will come on the road," a protester said.

Farmers are protesting against the three newly enacted farm laws - Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar lashed out at Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and PM Modi while addressing farmers' rally in Mumbai on Monday in support of farmers protesting in Delhi.

You are going to Raj Bhavan to meet the Governor. Maharashtra has never seen such a Governor before. Thousands of farmers marched to Mumbai against the Agriculture Act. These farmers wanted to meet the governor and make their demands. But our governor has gone to Goa. He has the time to meet Kangana (Ranaut) but not the farmers. It was the moral responsibility of the Governor to come here & meet you, said Pawar while addressing the rally.

Braving cold weather, farmers from Punjab, Haryana & Uttar Pradesh are agitating for the last 60 days. Has the PM enquired about them? Do these farmers belong to Pakistan?, asked the NCP chief.
