A tragic accident occurred were two individuals lost their lives in a horrific collision involving a private passenger bus traveling from Mukhed towards Nanded and a two-wheeler. The accident occurred on March 25 near the Khandgaon (Bendri) signpost along the Narsi-Mukhed route.
While one of the two-wheeler riders died on the spot in the crash, the second individual who had sustained critical injuries passed away late Wednesday night while undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital in Nanded. According to reports, Vikas Narayan Gaykambale was riding his two-wheeler from Narsi towards Umardari when he was struck by a speeding private bus approaching from the opposite direction. Vikas died on the spot as a result of this collision. His companion, Omprakash Nagorao Konapure, sustained severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to Nanded for medical attention; however, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Private passenger buses fiercely compete for passengers on the Mukhed-Nanded route. Despite lacking permits for intermediate stops, they routinely exceed capacity and speed recklessly. Local residents attribute the recent accident to this dangerous speeding and are demanding strict action from RTO officials against these bus operators.
