Maharashtra Accident: Two Killed, One Injured in Car Crash Near Dusarbid Toll Plaza on Samruddhi Highway

Buldhana, Maharashtra (February 20, 2025): MaTwo people were killed and one seriously injured in a road accident near the Dusarbid toll plaza on the Samruddhi Highway on Thursday morning. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. when a car traveling from Mumbai to Akola lost control at channel 318.8 and crashed into the median barrier.

The impact caused an iron bar from the barrier to pierce through the front of the car and exit from the rear before the vehicle caught fire. The victims, identified as Ganesh Subhash Tekale, 40, and Raju Mahantlal Jaiswal, 32, both from Mumbai, died on the spot. The driver, Abhijit Arjun Chavan, 35, also from Mumbai, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Bibi Rural Hospital for treatment.

Emergency responders, including the highway ambulance team, reached the scene. The Samruddhi Mahamarg QRV team, highway police, and officials from the local police station also arrived to assist. Authorities used cranes to remove the wreckage and restore traffic on the highway. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
