Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra (April 21, 2025): A woman lost her life in a shocking road accident on the Paithan–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar highway after being hit by a speeding car while crossing the road on Sunday, April 20, 2025. The deceased has been identified as Sindubai Rambhau Galfade, a resident of Katpur in Paithan taluka. She was returning home after shopping at Jayakwadi weekly market and was crossing the road near the divider at Rahul Nagar when a car struck her at high speed. The impact was so severe that the woman was flung high into the air before crashing to the ground. The horrifying incident was caught on a nearby CCTV camera.

Shockingly, the driver of the car did not stop to assist the victim and instead fled the scene at the same high speed. The incident occurred near the divider at Rahul Nagar. The police are currently investigating the matter, but the driver remains at large.
Earlier the same day, around 11.30 am, a speeding pickup van overturned near Bhatana village in Vaijapur tehsil after the driver lost control. Santosh Vitthal Nikam (37) of Chikatgaon died in the accident, and three others sustained serious injuries. Investigations are underway under PSI Ishwar Jagdale with police personnel Khandu Manchare and Ganesh Khandagale.
