The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Saturday approached Special NIA court in Mumbai Seeking Custody of Sachin Vaze in Mansukh Hiren Death Case.

The court has said that the matter can be heard and decided only after 25th March when NIA custody is getting over. Earlier on Friday, the ATS opposed the anticipatory bail plea of Vaze at a hearing before the Thane Sessions Court.

Vaze has been sent to NIA custody till March 25. The ATS has sought custody of Vaze for further investigation.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday had confirmed that the person, seen in a CCTV footage walking near Mukesh Ambani's residence on the night of February 25 when an explosive-laden vehicle was found, was Vaze.

Vaze was transferred to the Citizen Facilitation Centre at the Mumbai Police Headquarters after his name came up in the death case of Hiren, the owner of the vehicle that was found on Carmichael Raod outside Antilia on February 25. Hiren was found dead in a creek on March 5 in Thane.
