Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to implement the Building Planning Management System (BPMS) and it should also introduce e-TDR (Transferable Development Rights). Fadnavis said that this new system will streamline building permissions online. Apart from giving this directive, he also asked BMC to ask all state-run schools to complete geo-tagging. It will help in elevating the city’s global standards. He made these remarks at a meeting held at the Sahyadri Guest House in Walkeshwar, Mumbai. In that meeting, Devendra Fadnavis also reviewed the 100-day plans of 22 departments, reported Mid Day.
Speaking about geo-tagging of schools, he said, “The tagging should include details of available facilities such as washrooms, water coolers, and other amenities.”
This meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, and other senior IAS and government officials. Fadnavis instructed all the officials who were present at the meeting to install a solar power system. He said, “All government offices receiving funds from the District Planning and Development Committee (DPDC) to install solar power systems on their premises.”

This is Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ third term. Now he has introduced a new system where every department must present a list of all the jobs they will complete or take care of in the next 100 days. On Maharashtra Day, all the Mantralaya departments will publicly release a report on completed projects and share an update about the projects that are ongoing or in the pipeline, reported Mid Day.
Road safety is on the priority list. Maharashtra is expanding its road infrastructure. Hence, Devendra Fadnavis highlighted that there is a need for better management. He also directed the traffic department officials to implement the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS). This system will help in reducing road accidents. Devendra Fadnavis said that this system will help identify and repair accident-prone areas while curbing traffic rule violations.
