Relative calm has returned to most of Nagpur City after violence erupted on March 17 over the issue of Aurangzeb's grave. Curfew was lifted Thursday in the Nandanvan and Kapil Nagar police limits. From 2 to 4 pm, citizens in Lakadganj, Pachpavali, Shantinagar, Sakkardara, Imamwada, and Yashodharanagar police limits can purchase essential commodities during a curfew relaxation. The curfew remains in effect in Kotwali, Ganeshpeth, and Tehsil police station limits until further notice.

Maharashtra Police's Cyber cell reported that Faheem Khan, an accused in the violence, was arrested for editing and circulating videos on social media that "glorified violence" and fueled the riots' spread. DCP Lohit Matani stated Khan's edited videos of the Aurangzeb protest incited the riots.

Police have registered four FIRs related to the Monday night riots, including one against Khan for editing and disseminating inflammatory videos. Khan, a leader of the Minorities Democratic Party (MD), was arrested on March 19 and remanded in custody until March 21.

Nagpur Police have arrested 50 people, including seven minors, in connection with the March 17 clashes. The arrests followed an investigation into the unrest, which included the damage of CCTV cameras. Authorities are investigating the alleged mastermind and the events leading to the violence.
