Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid floral tributes at the Shree Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Samadhi in Pune On March 29, marking the culmination of 'Balidan Mas' (Month of Sacrifice).  

'Balidan Mas' is a 40-day period observed by many to honor and remember the immense sacrifice of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the valiant son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This period commemorates the brutal 40 days of torture that Sambhaji Maharaj endured before his tragic execution.

Eknath Shinde, along with other leaders and dignitaries, paid their respects to the Maratha ruler, acknowledging his bravery, sacrifice, and contribution to Maharashtra's legacy. The observance of 'Balidan Mas' serves as a reminder of the resilience and courage shown by Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj during his lifetime.
