A bear suddenly attacked Rajesh Harichand Chanap while he was in his yard, and he struggled to escape. Upon hearing his screams, his dog rushed to his aid, attacking the bear and ultimately driving it back into the forest. This dramatic incident occurred on Wednesday night in Bolunda, Goregaon taluka.

Bolunda village, near Nagzira Sanctuary, often sees wild animals. Around 8 pm, Chanap was attacked by the bear. His dog responded quickly, saving his life. After the attack, Chanap's family provided first aid before taking him to a rural hospital in Goregaon and then to the Government Medical College in Gondia for further treatment. The Goregaon Forest Department was notified and conducted an investigation at the scene.

The loyalty of Chanap's dog exemplifies the bond between humans and animals. It bravely defended its owner, earning praise from the community. Recently, there has been an increase in wild animal attacks and sightings in the Bolunda area, creating fear among villagers. They have called on the Forest Department to take action to control wild animals.
