Maharashtra Government is likely to decide on reopening of colleges in a day or two. Uday Samant said this to the press on Sunday, the Higher and Technical Education Minister of the state.

The Maharashtra government will take the decision soon. Mostly, in a day or two final decisions for the reopening of colleges will be taken.

Samant met governor B S Koshyari on sunday after which he made it clear that he will chair a discussion on February 1, 2021, with the Vice Chancellors of non-agricultural universities across the state. This discussion will be held in order to identify the issue regarding the reopening of colleges.

The Maharashtra Government will soon issue a separate Covid 19 guidelines or standard operating procedures. The SOP will be mandated for the opening of colleges and universities across the state.

The report of today’s discussion will be presented to the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for the final decision. The final decision to reopen the colleges and universities across the state will be taken in a day or two.
