Maharashtra Police Recruitment 2026: Maharashtra Police has announced recruitment to fill a total of 1,633 posts in various categories to begin on February 16, 2026. A total of 633 posts will be filled in the Pune City Police Force. Around 39,000 candidates have applied.

The state police administration said preparations are in place to conduct the recruitment in a transparent and fair manner. Ground tests will be held at the Police Headquarters and the State Reserve Police Force Group No. 2.

This recruitment includes several posts, including police constable, driver and police bandsman. The field and physical tests will begin on February 16, followed by the written examination.

Selection Process:

• Candidates will be selected through a physical test and a written exam.• Height and chest measurements will be recorded.• Test including a 100m run, 1600m run (800m for women) and shot put. The test carries 100 marks, and candidates must secure at least 50.• To prevent malpractice, the process will be monitored through RFID technology and CCTV. This will track candidate attendance and timings.
