The incident took place around 5 a.m. Fortunately, all passengers were unharmed.

Shirgaon police have reportedly detained the bus driver, Varshiket Pralhad Birajdar, in connection with the incident. According to the regional media reports, the accident happened when Birajdar lost control of the vehicle while attempting to overtake another. The bus crashed through the highway’s protective barrier and veered off the road. The impact is believed to have sparked the fire.
