The Sindkhedraja-Samruddhi Highway witnessed another accident on March 8 at 8 am, resulting in two fatalities and three serious injuries near Sindkhedraja. A cruiser carrying devotees from Asegaon Devi (Yavatmal district) to Shirdi (MH-25R-3579) suffered a tire blowout. The speeding vehicle then struck a safety barrier and overturned. Subsequently, a car traveling behind (MH-29-CB-9630) lost control and collided with the overturned cruiser.
Vidyabai Sable (55) and Motiram Borkar (60) died at the scene. Bhavana Ramesh Raut (30), Pratibha Arun Waghode (45), and Mirabai Gotphode (65) sustained serious injuries and were transported to a Jalna hospital by the Mahamarg Ambulance team (Dr. Yasin Shah, Vaibhav Borade, and driver Digambar Shinde).
Other cruiser passengers - Santosh Sakharkar, Kamalabai Jadhav, Sushila Jawan, Mirabai Raut, Chhayabai Chavan, Pramila Ghatole, Bhakti Raut, Ramesh Raut, and Babybai Yelot - received treatment for minor injuries at Sindkhedraja Rural Hospital. The Creta occupants escaped unharmed.

Highway Police PSI Gajanan Ujjainkar, Head Constable Mukesh Jadhav, Sindkhedraja Police Station Officers Sandeep Dongre and Vishnu Nagre, along with QRV Team members Pawan Kale, Khandu Chavan, Abhishek Kandekar, and Maharashtra Security Force personnel Machhindra Rathod, Avinash Rathod, and Ajay Patil responded to the accident, extricated the victims, and cleared the traffic.
