Maharashtra Weather Update: Akola Boils at 44 degree C, Pune and Other Cities Face Heatwave

Maharashtra is experiencing the rise in temperature due to hot winds coming from the north. In Madhya Maharashtra, Solapur, Akola, Amravati, Yavatmal in Vidarbha and Aurangabad and Parbhani in Marathwada have crossed the 40 degrees mark. As per the reports highest temperature in the state was recorded in Akola at 44.1 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in the state is likely to increase by two to three degrees Celsius in the next two to three days, and the Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of light rain in Vidarbha.

As soon as the month of April began, unseasonal rains appeared in most parts of the state, hailstorm were also reported in some areas. The heatwave is back again bringing hot northerly winds and increased humidity.  While dry weather is expected in Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada, isolated areas may experience hot and humid conditions. The Meteorological Department warns that heatwave conditions will persist throughout the state for the next few days.

Pune 40.3, Jalgaon 42.2, Satara 40.7, Solapur 42.8, Nashik 40.2, Aurangabad 42.4, Parbhani 42.1, Amravati 42.6, Chandrapur 43, Nagpur 41.1, Wardha 41.5, Yavatmal 43.4
