A Scorpio car packed with explosives materials was found outside Mukesh Ambani's house after which Hiren, the owner of the vehicle was found dead on March 5 in Thane.
The whole incident has created a stir in state. Sachin Vaze, Assistant Police Inspector in the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) who was in charge of the Hiren case, was in NIA custody till March 25, for his alleged role and involvement in placing the explosives-laden vehicle outside the residence of Ambani. Later a special NIA court on March 25 allowed the agency custody till April 3.
The NIA has made many shocking revelations while interrogating Sachin Vaze. The NIA told the court on Tuesday that suspended police officer Sachin Vaze and police constable Vinayak Shinde were involved in plotting the assassination of businessman Mansukh Hiren, and that Vaze was in touch with the conspirators on his mobile. A NIA court has remanded Vinayak Shinde and Naresh Gore in custody till April 7.Hiren, the owner of the vehicle that was found containing explosives materials outside the house of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, was found dead on March 5 in Thane. Investigation into his death was being probed by Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), till the MHA handed over the probe to the NIA. The Maharashtra ATS had recently arrested suspended police personnel Vinayak Shinde and Naresh Gore.
According to the NIA, the team found 14 mobile numbers, five of which were given to Sachin Vaze. Sachin Vaze was using one of these mobile numbers to kill Mansukh Hiren. The NIA investigation has reached the point of unraveling the mystery behind murder of Mansukh Hiren. The NIA is probing both the case of Mukesh Ambani's bomb care outside his house and the murder of Mansukh Hiren, the NIA said in court.
