Maratha reservation has not been announced within the 40-day deadline given to the government. Consequently, Manoj Jarange Patil has resumed his fast unto death. On Wednesday afternoon, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje met Manoj Jarange Patil at Antarwali Sarati and discussed the issue.

"I didn't come at anyone's behest. I have come as a responsibility. Since 2007, Maharashtra has been fighting for justice for Marathas. One-and-a-half years ago, I myself went on a fast unto death. So I know what a fast-unto-death is. Manoj is someone who considers the community bigger than the family. So, I am worried about his health. Therefore, he should definitely observe the fast, but at least drink water and take care of his health," Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje said.

"Manoj Jarange Patil has seen many hunger strikes. He is true to his word,” Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje mentioned that we provide him strength to give because he works for community.
