Two days ago, a heated confrontation occurred between MLA Rajendra Raut and Manoj Jarange Patil regarding the issue of Maratha reservation. BJP MLA Prasad Lad also criticized Manoj Jarange Patil, accusing him of undermining the Maratha community. Prasad Lad asserted that the Marathas will not remain silent and may resort to extreme measures against Manoj Jarange Patil. Lad made these comments during a speech in Mumbai on Saturday, September 7.
Prasad Lad remarked, "The statements made by Manoj Jarange Patil are nothing short of mockery. Anyone who opposes him is labeled as a supporter of DCM Devendra Fadnavis and the BJP. However, Patil is actually aligned with Sharad Pawar and the Mahavikas Aghadi. His actions have been detrimental to the Maratha community."
He further challenged Patil, saying, "If you have the courage, come forward for a discussion and prove Devendra Fadnavis's mistakes. If all the leaders and Maratha MLAs had spoken out earlier, the truth would have been exposed. Rajendra Raut, if you have the courage, come forward and we will support you," Prasad Lad stated.
In the meantime, MLA Rajendra Raut and Maratha activist Manoj Jarange Patil clashed over Maratha reservation issues, exchanging challenges and accusations. Rajendra Raut challenged Manoj Jarange Patil to produce a statement from the Mahavikas Aghadi regarding Maratha reservation. Raut also alleged that Patil claimed Udayanraje would have fallen if he had taken action.
Manoj Jarange Patil responded strongly to these allegations, emphasizing his respect for the throne and accusing Rajendra Raut of attempting to harm the Maratha community. Patil also claimed that Rajendra Raut does not speak on his own but is directed by Devendra Fadnavis.
