In an unprecedented situation, due to grid failure, there has been a power outage in the entire Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) region on Monday. Government sources suggest, there is multiple tripping of lines and transformer (Kalwa-Padghe and Khargar ICTs) which was supplying power to Mumbai system.Western Railway local trains have been shut between Churchgate to Vasai railway station and Mumbai suburban trains on Central Railway have been stopped due to grid failure. Entire Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Palghar, Dahanu lines have been affected. It will take one hour to restore the supply, as per EHV Power team. After several citizens complained of a sudden electricity outage in several parts,  '#powercut' started trending on Twitter. Here are some of the reactions:
