The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has demamded to change the name of the stock market in Mumbai. MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar has said on his Twitter account that Asia's oldest Bombay Stock Exchange market should be renamed the Mumbai Stock Exchange. The BSE is a major contributor to the ountry's economy and corporate sector.

The Bombay Stock Exchange was established in Mumbai on July 9, 1875, 145 years ago. It is the first and largest financial market in Asia. It is a huge market for the economic growth of the corporate sector in the country. The stock market is also known as BSE. However, the MNS has now objected to the name and demanded that it be renamed Mumbai Stock Exchange instead of Bombay.

"Bse is oldest stock exchange of Asia, as we all know that it's no more Bombay anywhere so why the Name of stock exchange is still Bombay Stock exchange? We request u to change the name from Bombay to Mumbai Stock exchange. This Stock exchange is pride of Maharashtra & India as well and we want it to be named as "Mumbai Stock exchange",tweeted Bala Nandgaonkar.
