On February 25, a Scorpio car was found outside the residence of famous businessman Mukesh Ambani in Antilia, South Mumbai. It contained 20 gelatin sticks, bogus number plates and a threatening letter. The incident has caused a stir in Mumbai. Later, a threatening telegram message was received on Ambani's mobile.

The investigation has revealed that the message came from a mobile phone used in the barracks of Tihar Jail in Delhi.

The Delhi Police is investigating the case as the phone number is being used in Tihar Jail. Also, 15 people, including Jaish-e-Mohammed, ISIS and Indian Mujahideen terrorists, are believed to be using the mobile phone in the barracks. The police are investigating the angle whether the threatening message was sent by any of these terrorist.

According to police sources, the telegram channel was set up on February 26 and a message claiming responsibility for placing a Scorpio outside Ambani's residence was posted on Ambani's telegram messaging app late on February 27.

The message also asked for money to be sent in cryptocurrency and mentioned a link to deposit it. During the interrogation, the link was found to be "not available", so investigators suspected that someone was acting to harass them. Later, on February 28, another message from Jaish-ul-Hind appeared on social media platforms, claiming that they had no role in the Scorpio case, which was found outside Ambani house.

The case was initially being investigated by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch. The Home Minister later handed over the investigation to the ATS. After that, the case has been shifted from the ATS to the NIA, the central investigative body.
