Bollywood star Alia Bhatt's mother Soni Razdan on Wednesday questioned Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray about the COVID-19 situation in Mumbai city.

Razdan took twitter to share the problems her friend had to face to get a bed in a hospital in Mumbai. She posted an TOI article link titled,"No lockdown needed in Mumbai, only 200 being referred to hospitals daily: BMC Chief" and wrote,"Friend’s mother could not get a bed just now. Had to go to 7 hospitals while in critical state bef finding one. Remdesivir not available. Then at double the Govt rate. Till every citizen gets a bed and drugs easily please don’t tell us we’re in control". 

Another tweet read,"All this is after pulling massive strings. For the hospitals as well as the drugs. How can you claim we are in control ? Don’t you know what citizens are going through ? @mybmc @uddhavthackeray @CMOMaharashtra" 

Mumbai's COVID-19 tally rose to 94,863 on Tuesday with the addition of 969 new cases, while 70 more patients succumbed to the infection, taking the toll to 5,402, the city civic body said.
