A BMC team had gone and razed portions of Kangana's bungalow on September 9 which sparked of a massive political furore after which she moved the Bombay HC and challenged the civic body's move, terming it as a vendetta.

A civil court on Thursday in Mumbai dismissed Ranaut's petition for interim relief against the notice issued by the BMC for 'unauthorised' alterations made at her residence in Khar in 2018, according to a news report.

The BMC notice stated that Kangana had done alterations to the flat that were unauthorised and without permission of the body. BMC had asked the actor to remove that part of the construction. However, the court has now ruled that the construction as unauthorised.

In January 2019, Kangana challenged BMC's notice before the civil court. The actor in her petition requested the court to restrain the civic body from demolishing her property for the removal of the unauthorised construction.

She also claimed that the notice issued by BMC was vague. However, BMC said that there were no irregularities while issuing notice to the actor.

In 2019, the court had ordered to maintain status quo till hearing of the notice of motion for restraining demolition. Now, the court rejected Kangana Ranaut's petition and said further hearing will take place in February 2021.

The court also granted Kangana six weeks time to approach the high court.
