On its inaugural day, 15,836 vehicles traversed this route, with over five lakh vehicles recorded within the first 20 days. Presently, the progress of the coastal road stands at 88 percent completion. The contractor's request to reduce traffic was to facilitate inspections of electrical installations in the tunnel along the southern route.
