Police in Maharashtra's Palghar district have initiated an investigation following the discovery of a woman's severed head inside a suitcase. The grim discovery was made near Pirkunda Dargah in the Virar area on Thursday evening. According to an official, local children discovered an abandoned suitcase and, out of curiosity, opened it. Upon finding the severed head, they alerted the authorities.   

"We received information regarding the discovery of a severed head inside a suitcase near Pirkunda Dargah," stated an official from Mandvi police station. "Our team immediately responded to the scene." Forensic experts are scheduled to visit the site to collect crucial evidence. Police are currently working to identify the victim and determine the circumstances surrounding the gruesome crime.
