An FIR has been registered against the makers and actors of web series 'Tandav' under sections 153 (A), 295 (A) and 505 (2) IPC at Mumbai's Ghatkopar Police station.

Taking cognisance of the concerns expressed by viewers against the web series, filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar on Monday extended apologies and clarified that Tandav is a "work of fiction" and that the cast and crew of 'Tandav' did not have any intentions of hurting sentiments of any community, caste, or religion.

BJP's Ram Kadam reached Ghatkopar police station today and demanded the police to register an FIR against the makers. He said that they will continue with the protest until the accused are sent behind bars.

Earlier an FIR was registered in Uttar Pradesh against makers and actors of web series Tandav for inciting communal disharmony, hurting religious sentiments, and allegedly showing Uttar Pradesh Police in a bad light.
