Mumbai local travel has been closed for the general public since last year to avoid congestion during the Corona period. Only essential service personnel can travel in local trains. 

In this regard, Raosaheb Danve said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the food supply department also did a good job. The government provided Rs 2 per kg of wheat and Rs 3 per kg of rice to 80 crore people in this country. Now the responsibility of the railway department has been given. The briefing will give an idea of ​​the current situation and what needs to be done for the railway department. "My priority will be on what can be done for the needs of Maharashtra and Marathwada," Danve said.

Recently, the state's Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Vijay Vadettiwar and Mayor Kishori Pednekar had commented on the local train services for general public.
