Although the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has claimed that it has gained a lot of control over the Coronavirus spread in the city and suburbs of Mumbai, the local lifeline i.e. local trains in Mumbai will start in the new year for security reasons.

As Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal while talking to the media said that citizens will have to travel by alternative transport medium for the next few days as it was not appropriate time to start local trains for safety reasons.

While the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the corona is now easing, the virus spread has gained much control. As a result, it is a sign that Mumbai's lifeline local likely to be available to the general public after December 15. However, the decision will be taken only after reviewing the situation in Corona.
