In a shocking incident, a wife of an Mumbai MLA tried to commit suicide. On Saturday morning, a traffic police officer stopped a woman from committing suicide. However, when the woman who committed suicide was questioned, shocking information came to light that she was the wife of an MLA.

According to the Times of India, the Mankhurd police were planning a traffic operation around 10.30 am on Saturday. At the same time, a motorist informed them that a woman was perched on the grill of the bridge and was crying. Traffic police constable Dhage rushed to the spot. His colleagues informed the control room, Mankhurd police station and Navi Mumbai police about the incident.

Upon reaching the spot, Dhage with tact convinced the woman to step down from the grill. She was later brought to the Mankhurd police station where she revealed that she was the wife of an MLA. She added that she was upset due to domestic conflict. She was handed over to the Navi Mumbai police who informed her family.
