Three people died while seven people were injured after a building collapsed in Govandi area of Mumbai.

The incident took place at plot number 3 of Shivaji Nagar in Govandi area of Mumbai. BMC and fire brigade team were rushed to the spot after learning about the incident.

Mumbai has been witnessing heavy rainfall over the past few days. The heavy rainfall has led to several incidents of building collapse in Mumbai and suburbs over the past weeks.

In addition, the incessasant rains in Mumbai and Konkan region have disrupted the services of the Central Railway and four of its long-distance trains getting stuck in Kasara and Karjat sections.
