A Mumbai resident, Sagar Surve had to face the ire and abuses of the callers who had mistaken his mobile number for Rhea Chakraborty.

Sagar Surve who works as a clerical staffer in an educational institution, had to block at least 150 callers to avoid the abuses coming his way. All this was because his mobile number closely resembles that of actor Rhea Chakraborty.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Surve when he first received call from unknown number asking for Rhea, he didn't pay much heed and disconnected the call saying it was as a “wrong number”.

It never clicked to him that the unknown caller was asking for the Bollywood actor 'Rhea Chakraborty'. Soon the number of calls started increasing and in no time, the calls turned abusive.

He was quoted in the report as saying, “I started receiving messages, voice calls and video calls on WhatsApp. People asked me to send them a photograph of myself when I told them that they were mistaken. I tried to ignore the calls but it only worsened over the next three days.”

As per the reports Surve realised what was happening when one of his cousin pointed out that a TV channel had flashed Rhea’s mobile number when it showed Sushant’s call records and mentioned how his mobile number differed from her by just a single digit. That’s when Surve realised the enormity of his problem.
