Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray met with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at Varsha Bungalow this morning. The meeting focused on several issues, including the redevelopment of BDD chawls in Mumbai, redevelopment of police colonies, and housing availability.
Following Thackeray's visit, Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SCP) chief Sharad Pawar also met with Shinde. The purpose of Pawar’s visit has not yet been confirmed, but it is anticipated that discussions will include Maratha reservation and other state issues. Pawar arrived at Varsha Bungalow around 2 p.m. Today’s meeting marks Pawar’s second visit in a week; he had previously met Shinde on July 22 to discuss Maratha and OBC reservations, milk prices, and loan payments for opposition leaders' factories. Pawar had assured that no injustice would be done to any factory.
During Thackeray's visit, which included a delegation with senior MNS leaders such as Bala Nandgaonkar, MLA Raju Patil, Nitin Sardesai, Sandeep Deshpande, Vaibhav Khedekar, and Abhijit Panse, the delegation also addressed the murder of a young woman, Yashshree Shinde, in Uran. Thackeray requested that the case be tried in a fast-track court.
