Mumbai's temperature dip below 20 degrees Celsius on Tuesday

The minimum temperature in Santacruz, Borivali, Kandivali, Mulund, Nerul and Panvel was recorded below 20 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, while the lowest temperature in the state was recorded at Chandrapur at 8.6 degrees Celsius. Marathwada and Vidarbha regions have experienced coldest days. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 5 to 6 degrees above average and the weather is expected to remain the same on Wednesday and Thursday, the meteorological department said. 

Mumbai and its suburbs are also experiencing the drop in the temperature, but the daytime temperatures have not dropped. The maximum temperature was recorded at around 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum night temperature was below 20 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Mumbai was recorded at around 19 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha are the coldest states in the state.

The minimum temperature in cities in the state in degrees Celsius are as follows:

Santacruz 19.2, Colaba 22.5, Pune 11.3, Baramati 11.9, Aurangabad 12.5, Mahabaleshwar 13.6, Nashik 11.8, Dahanu 19.8, Jalgaon 12, Kolhapur 16, Satara 12.8 , Solapur 13, Chandrapur 8.6, Parbhani 10.1, Yavatmal 9.5, Gondia 10.5, Nagpur 11.5.
