How does dengue spread?

  • Dengue is transmitted by mosquitoes. It is caused by the bite of the female Aedes aegypti mosquito. Dengue cases emerge following the change in weather after rains.
  • The Aedes aegypti mosquito breeds in clean water. Therefore, care should be taken to ensure that water does not accumulate in the house, as mosquitoes can breed in it.
