A resident of Nashik, Maharashtra named Chandra Kishore Patil has been lauded on social media for his efforts to safeguard the quality of the living environment. Patil stood all day near river Godavari with a whistle and stopped people from dumping waste-filled plastic bags in the river. IFS officer Swetha Boddu tweeted about him and Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram story to appreciated his efforts.

Shweta's tweet about Patil has not only gone viral but Patil has been earning praises all over the internet for his simple yet highly beneficial deed.
