A youth committed suicide in Koparkhairane Sector 4 area of Navi Mumbai. The reaason of suicide is said that deceased was feeling lonely due to the lockdown and therefore he took this extreme step. The deceased has been identified as Suraj Sakharam Surve (27) belonging to Dangareghar village in Jawali Taluka in Satara district.

He was living with his brother and sister-in-law. But since the lockdown began, he was living alone at Koparkhairane as everyone had gone to the village. The deceased worked as an engineer for a company in Airoli. He was found hanging from the ceiling of his home in Koparkhairane Sector 4 on Tuesday afternoon. 

He also left a suicidde note in which he mentioned that he was feeling alone during the lockdown period. He wanted to be with his family but due to lockdown he couldn't. Even after talking on phone regularly with his family, he still missed them badly. 

An acquaintance living in the area had gone to his place to give him meal on Tuesday afternoon. After repeated knocks Suraj didn't open the door, following which the neighbors informed the police. The police personnel found him dead after breaking the door open.

This is the fourth suicide in the city in just a month since the lockdown.
