Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has received death threats on Twitter. In response to this alarming situation, a delegation from the NCP, led by Supriya Sule, NCP MP and daughter of Sharad Pawar, paid a visit to the Mumbai Police Commissioner. The purpose of their visit is to seek appropriate action against the Twitter account responsible for issuing the menacing threats.

According to the reports, a person issued a death threat through the micro-blogging site Twitter. The individual, identified as Saurabh Pimpalkar, likened Pawar to Aurangzeb and ominously suggested that he would face a similar outcome as the Mughal emperor. Moreover, there are reports of another death threat on Facebook, where a user named Narmadabai Patwardhan posted a message insinuating that the NCP chief would meet a fate similar to that of Narendra Dabholkar, who was tragically killed.

Supriya Sule, after meeting with the Mumbai Police Commissioner, briefed him about the two threats directed towards Pawar. She conveyed her concerns and the Commissioner reassured her that appropriate and stringent measures would be taken against the individuals responsible.

Speaking to the media, Sule said that she had received a message on WhatsApp for Pawar Saheb and that he was threatened through a website.

"I received a message on WhatsApp for Pawar Sahab. He has been threatened through a website. So, I have come to the Police demanding justice. I urge Maharashtra Home Minister and Union Home Minister. Such actions are low-level politics and this should stop," Sule said.
