Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) leader Supriya Sule alleged that numerous videos from Maharashtra's Beed district are circulating on social media, showing people distributing huge amounts of cash. She shared two videos on her official social media account, in which a man is sitting on a sofa with bundles of cash and counting it.
Another video shared by Baramati MP shows a man in a running car putting bundles of currency notes on the vehicle's dashboard. Questioning the Income Tax Department (IT) and Union Finance Minister, the NCP leader sought action and investigation against purported videos going viral on social sites.
"Numerous videos of such large amounts of cash being distributed are surfacing from Beed District, Maharashtra. Would the @FinMinIndia and @IncomeTaxIndia please take cognisance? @nsitharaman," MP Sule wrote in a post on X.

Meanwhile, Beed district of Maharashtra is in the headlines from past few days due to mudar of Masajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder on December 9 last year. Dhananjay Munde had to resign two months later. Still, the fight isn't over yet. State Congress president Harsh Vardhan Sapkal arrived from Massajog for the Sadbhavana Yatra today.
