A letter written by Parambir Singh to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray accusing Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had created a stir in the state.

Parambir Singh had filed a petition in the court in this regard. The Bombay high court on Monday on petition of Parambir Singh's lawyer Dr Jaishri Patil has ordered CBI to start a preliminary inquiry within 15 days into corruption allegations of Singh against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.

The BJP has once again demanded the immediate resignation of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, welcoming the High Court's decision.

The Bombay High Court, while hearing the petition filed by petitioner Jayashree Patil, directed a CBI inquiry into the matter and directed that a preliminary inquiry report be submitted within 15 days.

Therefore, it is being said that now the difficulty of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh will increase. Against this backdrop, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has demanded the resignation of the Home Minister. Rane took to Twitter and wrote,"Welcome the Hon High court decision on the Parambhir Singh allegations! We can’t have a sitting home minister go thru the CBI investigation! He needs to resign asap! At the same time in the letter it was also mention that Parambhir Singh had mentioned abt the vasooli to CM too..And CM didn’t respond to it or take any action.. So the CBI also needs to investigate into why didn’t the CM respond to Parambhir s complain and act on it.. CMs role in this should be probed too!!"
