The patient is a man working for a private company in Mali, Africa. He had tested for covid three days ago. Now the report of this patient has been submitted to NIV Lab, Pune. People who came in contact with the patient are also being tested.
Three foreign nationals had arrived in Nashik two days ago for work in a big company in Nashik. One person who tested positive will be sent to the National Virology Research School in Pune for genome sequencing. It will then be clear if he has an omicron.
