Late Monday night, a truck and a trailer collided on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in Palghar. No casualties were reported, but the collision caused a huge blaze and affected the traffic movement on the highway.

Police investigating the incident said that both the vehicles were loaded with goods and collided on the Vaitarna River on the highway around 12:15 AM. Both drivers jumped out of the vehicle to save their lives, the officials said.

Fire engines from Manor reached the spot to put down the fire, and they got the situation under control around 2:45 AM. The police officials said that both the vehicles were severely damaged.

Another fire incident was reported on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. A truck caught fire on the Khopoli Exit in Pune. The incident took place around 2:45 AM on March 4. The Khopoli firefighters team, IRB’s Devdoot team, and the Delta Force also reached the spot to handle the situation, and the fire was put down.
