A massive fire broke out in a rice warehouse in Bharad village of Dahanu in Maharashtra's Palghar district, near the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in the early hours of Tuesday, March 25. Large quantities of rice sacks were destroyed. Authorities suspect a short circuit as the cause.

A video shared by the news agency IANS shows firefighters from MIDC and a bulldozer are the scene and working to douse the blaze.

No reports of injuries or casualties till now. Firefighting efforts are ongoing.
