A drowning incident reported in Bolinj area of Virar West were a 14-year-old boy, identified as Arnav Vinayak Patil, lost his life in the local Ram Mandir lake. After intense three-hour search operation his body was recovered.

According to FPJ report, Arnav, a Class 8 student, was the son of Vinayak Patil, a local rickshaw driver.  The lake falls under the jurisdiction of the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC) and is currently closed to the public. Deceased identified as a group of friends managed to enter the premises and jumped into the water for a swim.  Arnav struggled to gauge the water's depth and drowned while the other children swam to safety.

Local residents and authorities, including Senior Police Inspector Marshal Lopes, the Deputy Mayor of VVCMC, local municipal corporators, and administrative officers, rushed to the scene. After a massive search operation, rescue teams retrieved Arnav’s body from the lake after three hours.

The young boy's untimely death has devastated the Patil family and cast a pall of gloom over the Bolinj neighbourhood, as residents mourn the loss of a promising life.
