Maharashtra: ST Corporation bus carrying passengers from Masla in the taluka to Gangakhed went off road and fell under the Kharadi bridge. The incident took place near Masla village on Thursday, February 12, 2026 evening at around 5:30 pm. In this incident, ten passengers were injured. Bus carrying passengers from Masla in Gangakhed taluka to Gangakhed was leaving Masla for Gangakhed at around 5:30 pm on Thursday. As soon as it reached some distance from the village, the bus fell into the stream from the Kharadi bridge near the village.

In the accident, Sarang Maroti Panchal, 12, who was seated next to the driver, was ejected from the bus when the front windshield shattered. The injured passengers include Megha Maroti Panchal, 39, Maroti Prahlad Panchal, 50, Rituraj Tukaram Panchal, 15 (all residents of Masla, Pune), Anjali Dattatray Chougule, 34, Dheeraj Dattaram Chougule, 20 (residents of Pune), Mangalbai Marotrao Shinde, 60, Radhabai Bansi Shinde, 50, Aaradhya Madhav Shinde, 3, and Vitthal Haridas Nagne, 32 (residents of Masla).

Following the bus accident, Ishwar Shinde, Madhav Shinde, Gunwant Dhage, Pandurang Shinde, Prakash Shinde, Shivajirao Shinde, Balasaheb Shinde, Apparao Kadam, Vaijnath Shinde, Adinath Shinde, Marotrao Shinde, and others rushed to the scene. They transported the injured to Gangakhed in an auto and two private vehicles. 108 ambulance driver Vishnu Vore took three people to the ambulance from Jhola Pati, and all the injured were admitted to Gangakhed Upazila Hospital, where Resident Medical Officer Dr. Mohini Mundhe, Nurse Pranita Shinde, Sumedha Nagargoje, and others provided treatment.

Pranit Khaje, representative of Shilpa Patil, the newly elected member of Mardasgaon Z.P. group, assisted the injured at the hospital. Passengers on the Masala to Gangakhed bus claimed the driver was drunk. Masala villagers attributed the lack of fatalities to fate.
